Meet The Team
Founder & CEO, InJoy Yoga & RozyGlow
Rosanna is a yoga teacher, birth educator and mother who specialises in all aspects of perinatal yoga. She teaches Birthlight yoga for conception and pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, and works with couples to prepare them for pregnancy, birth and parenthood. She also teaches yoga for babies and Anusara Inspired hatha classes.
Rosanna is a Tutor for Birthlight (2009), training yoga teachers, midwives, doulas and other health professionals in yoga for the perinatal period. She is also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, and is Co Chair of the Croydon University Hospital MSLC (Maternity Services Liason Committee).
Her background is in vibrational medicine (Reiki Master, 2005) and education and environmental studies (BA Hons, 1999). Her passion is in sharing the healing power of the sacred feminine and bridging the gap between spirit and matter.
Rosannna's specialist interests are in conscious living and birthing, letting go of fear on a cellular level and living in joy!
Charmaine teaches Pregnancy & Birth Preparation classes on Tuesdays & Sundays, as well as Baby & Postnatal Yoga (4 Mos+) on Tuesdays
Charmaine first joined InJoy Yoga pregnant with her 2nd child who she gave birth to at home. Rosanna was her teacher through pregnancy and baby yoga. Rosanna is also a Birthlight Tutor so trains teachers on behalf of Birthlight and she personally mentored Charmaine for a whole year before Charmaine took over her classes. Both Rosanna (known as Rozy) and Charmaine are Doulas so have first hand experience of seeing how the practices taught in our Birthlight pregnancy classes are used to facilitate natural birth and minimise medical interventions. These practices literally shorten the length of labour! Charmaine is also a womb yoga specialist, aromatherapist and general amazing woman. Her first son was planned at home but ended up having to transfer to hospital so Charmaine is well equipped to guide women through the various options available for birthing. She also work closely with the maternity services so understand the policy standards and how to work with them.
Yoga has always been part of my life. My first contact with yoga was as a teenager when I attended classes with my mother. Now I am a mother myself and keen for my children to learn how great yoga is for you. I had worked in the City of London for 13 years when I decided that I needed a change and began retraining as a yoga teacher. In 2006 I studied in India for a month at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Kerala and in 2008 I completed the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma.
I completed the Sitaram Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training in 2011 and I now teach Pregnancy Yoga and Beginners Yoga classes for InJoy Yoga and I love every minute of it!
Katie has been practising Yoga for over a decade, she initially came for the physical but very quickly realised there was so much more and trained to deepen her practice. Katie is committed evolving her practice and teaching so that she can keep delivering classes, workshops and retreats that allow others to experience the feelings of connection and calm that she has experienced through her own practice.
Katie teaches a mindful class which focuses on creating space for you to connect to your body in that moment. You will be encouraged to let go of any expectations and instead allow yourself to move exactly how you need. Her approach is all about taking Yoga beyond the mat so each class will pull on different aspects of Yoga, including the underlying philosophy, breathing, meditation, movement and relaxation with the aim that you can take something with you into your everyday life to create more harmony and balance.
